Tirukannangudi is a Vishnu divyadesam situated 2 Kms from Sikkal on Tiruvarur Nagapattinam Highway.
The Moolavar here is worshipped as Lokanatha Perumal and His consort is Lokanayagi.
The processional deity is known as Damodara Perumal.
This is a Pancha Krishna  kshetram.

The legend is that Lord Krishna appeared as a small kid in front of sage Vasishta and he ran  with the  butter from the idol sage was worshipping. Sage got angry and  chased the kid. They ran and reached a holy place where some rishis were doing penance. The  rishis blocked the little boy and tied him on a tree. Krishna then gave them darshan and rishis requested him to stay there to bless all the devotees. Krishna accepted and stayed here as Damodara Perumal  and  this  place came to be known as Kannangudi.
Thirumamgai Azhwar has stayed at this place and there are some interesting events that took place during his stay here. Read it here

Chintaman Ganesha Mandir -Ujjain

Chintaman Ganesha temple is the biggest Ganesha Mandir  in Ujjain which dates back to 11 th century. It is just 6-7 Kilometres  from Ujjain Mahakal temple and near Kshipra river. This temple was constructed by Parmar Kings and later renovated by Ahilya Bai Holkar
It is believed that Sri Ram worshipped the Ganesha  here.

The idol here is believed to be a self manifestation and here we find  Icchaman Ganesha, Siddhivanayak and Chintaman Ganesha in the sanctum. In local parlance Ganesha is referred to as Chintaman as He is  the remover of worries and tensions and no wonder the temple gets crowded here everyday.

Photography is banned and I have just one picture to share from my visit, a distant view of the temple.

This picture is from Google .The Ganeshas in the sanctum.

Kazhicheerama Vinnagaram,, Trivikrama Perumal, Tadalan, 108 divya desam at Seerkazhi

This divyadesam of Vishnu is in the town of Seerkazhi in Nagapattinam district.
The presiding deity here is Lord Trivikrama Narayana standing with his left leg pointing towards the sky . His right hand is extended as if to receive the dhan from King Mahabali and a finger of the left hand asking for the next one foot of land promised to him.
The Utsavar here is known as Tadalan. The Lord here is praised as mann alantha Thadalan ( Tadalan means ruler of the earth/world ). As Lord scaled the earth with His foot Sri Andal called him Tadalan.

Here Goddess Mahalakshmi is supporting the Lord so that He should not feel the pain of standing on one leg.

There are also  separate shrines for Lord Sri Rama , Garuda, Andal and Sri Krishna
The Sattainathar Kovil, a famous Shiva temple is also very close to this .

Vanmutti Perumal- Mayiladuthurai , Tamilnadu

Situated 5 Kms from the town of Mayiladuthurai at Kozhikuthi village is the abode of  Lord Sreenivasa Perumal . The Lord here stands tall as if touching the sky and is referred to as  Vanmutti Perumal.  The idol is made of Athimaram (fig tree) similar to the one at Varadaraja Perumal temple in Kanchipuram.

The legend is -A king who was ailing from chronic skin dosha was cured here at this place . He was guided to this place by Lord Shiva . The king stayed here for 48 days and took a dip in the holy viswaroopa pushkarani and got relief from his ailment. He also had the privilege of having Lord's Vishwaroopa darshan in a fig tree ( Athi maram). The king later became sage Pipplar.

Later a  Chola king also sought the help of the sage to get relief from the sins he committed during war . Sage advised him to worship Lord Srinivasa Perumal here . The king too had a vision of lord in the fig tree. Spell bound by the beauty of the darshan, he got the sculptors to carve an idol from the single Athi tree and constructed a beautiful temple here.
The famous Pipplar maharishi theertham is believed to cure skin diseases.

Sthalasayana Perumal ,Krupa Samudra perumal,Tirusirupiuliyur Divaya desam

Tirusirupuliyur divyadesam is the place where Lord Vishnu appeared  as Krupa Samudran and gave shelter to Adisesha when there was a fight between Garuda and Serpent God as to who provided better service to Lord. Finding Garuda to be little arrogant Vishnu ruled in favour of Adisesha. Fearing an angry reaction from Garuda he took shelter at this place. The God allowed him to coil below Him  and Garuda decided not to fly above this region.
As Adisesha is given a special place above Garuda this temple is also a place to worship for Naga dosha and kalasarpa dosha.

This is also the place where Lord appeared as bala sayanam kolam to sage Vyagrapada understanding very well that  he would not be able to see the huge form of Lord because of his poor eye sight. Here in the sanctum we see a Bala Ranganatha.
Temple is near 17 Kms from Mayiladuthurai in a small village.
