Tirupati Balaji Padmavati temple is situated in Kunkuliem village enveloped with greenery from all sides. This temple is maintaining a beautiful garden full of flowers and sacred Tulsi . The lush green and well maintained lawn offered a real visual treat. The Tulsi here is surrounded by sugarcane which looked very attractive . The idol of Balaji is very tall and and it gave us a feeling of visiting the
Tirupati Balaji temple in Andrapradesh, sans the crowd. Next to the Balaji temple there are shrines for
Padmavathi and Ganesha. Like the South Indian temples this temple in Goa has a dwajasthambha. This temple was blessed by Jagadguru Sanuacharya of Kanchikamakoti Peetam.
Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Charitable Trust, Goa is managing this temple and the idols of Sri Balaji and Sri Padmavati were donated by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
How to reach: This temple is situated in Kunkuliem village 15 Kms. from Ponda and is near to Shanta Durga and Mangesh temples
Nearest railway station is Madgaon.
Accommodation- Good hotels are available in Panaji ,capital of Goa and Ponda too.

Tulsi surrounded by sugarcane? Beautiful!! the surrounding looks serene and calm
Thanks for the nice info about this temple. Looks peaceful. I hope there is no "jarugandi" there.
Dear Chitra,
Good Morning!
This was one temple I was looking for. This is the temple where I always want to spend long hours. Each time I visit,I find out the new flowering plants in the copmound. The tulsi, the jsamine, sugarcane, champak, and so many many other shrubs and plants alongwith coconut trees and banana plants make the ambience so cool and refreshing.A river flows behind Balaji Temple. As it was summer, you might not have heard thesound of water gushing in the river.
Before reaching this temple there is a small krishna temple and it is amust -visit temple.
Chitra, you missed Shri Ayyappa Temple of Vasco-da-Gama.
Wishing your more pilgrimage,
Sasneham,
Anu

Garden with tulsi & flowers.. It must have been so serene & sweet smelling !! I like the fact that Balaji & his consort are in such a pleasing surrounding :) Instead of the always crowded Tirupati. Great post. My week begins with a good darshan :)
